My Research

Just like the other members of the Hock et al group I am focusing on thin-film photovoltaics.

Especially I am interested in the deposition of chalcopyrite/kesterite absober layers from solutions with nanocristalline precursors. The aim is to understand the structural transformations while drying and annealing of these layers and which relation this has to the efficiency of a solar cell that has been manufactured from such an absorber. To achieve this aim I am using in-situ x-ray diffractometry and transmission electronmicroscopy (and x-ray fluorescence).

I am working closely with different chairs in the department of materials sciences and with the EnCN (Energycampus Nuremberg).
